Unloaded the kiln and rinsed stuff off (at like 5:30) before heading out for 3 miles. I'll start glazing after breakfast, and once the kiln is going, will scuff up the floor and get the first coat of satin on. Yeehaw.

I just uploaded a new pattern to Ravelry last night:

I'm not sure what made her look me up, but Erika, the woman who owns the yarn shop in Rocky River where I just dropped off a dozen yarn bowls, sent me this note through Ravelry:

Dh took those pics for me. In the top one he was imitating Austin Powers, "Woooooooork it! Woooooooork it! That's right, give it to me baby! Ok I'm spent."

Nice kath!

Hope everyone had a thankful day yesterday. I am driving DS #1 to an NYU film school shoot in Jersey City today. He has a part in student film, and they are shooting from 1 til 10 tonight, and the 9-6 tomorrow. I will be crashing at my in laws tonight, so I will not be making the 2:30 trip back and forth both days. The gym I belong to has a branch not too far from where they are shooting, so I should be able to get in a couple of TM runs while I am there.

Good morning, everyone!

Ahh, what a glorious day! After finding SALT on a free movie station, I didn't get to bed until 10:30 last night. Pippin let me sleep/stay in bed until 7:30 this morning. That's unheard of! Rawr! I'm still having some ouchies from yesterday's event, but I have an apiiointment with my massage therapist at 10:15 this morning, and I know she'll be able to help on that somewhat. Otherwise, I have no plans today, other than putting up Christmas decorations, and maybe clearing out more overgrown trees/shrubbery by the back fence line.

Have a FAB day everyone!

PS - After seeing the morning news recap some of the chaos that is Black Friday, I'm so happy not to be going near ANY retail store today. :)

Kath - nice cowl! LOVE the color!

Litch - Wow.. very cool for DS 1!

We had a great day yesterday. Arrived at my parents by 4:30, in time for dinner (I had let mom know early enough about Moonie's delay that she could delay dinner for us. When we arrived, the first words out of my dad's mouth were "My man Joe! Are you sure?" (Referring to the impending move of course) Ha! We were both pretty tired by the end of the evening. Neither of us had much sleep the night before.

Not sure yet what plans are today. I am taking my niece to basketball practice this morning as a favor to my sister who has to work for a few hours, and then we will go to mom's. I don't know yet if the women are going window shopping or not.

Good morning all.

Kath - love the photos (and description of the photo shoot). Hahaha.

Bard and Moonie - how fun. You have so much great stuff going on. :)

Ail - recover well! I did the same as you this morning and slept in! None of us got out of bed until around 8:30. It was awesome. I don't have much planned for the day either. I am going to try to get in a longer run and then maybe clean up my flower beds. They are in pretty awful shape and I have been avoiding them. But I will really regret it if I continue to do that and the snow buries everything.

Interesting Race Facts: So I won 3rd in my age group yesterday! (F35-39). My time was 23:47. First of all, I cannot believe that time earned hardware. The race is a huge race with probably about 5000 runners and the top runner are in the 15s (men) and 18s (women). I guess I'll take it though. Second crazy part though is that I ran with James and he was 43rd in his age group (male 0-14). Of course he wasn't particularly thrilled about that, but he was the 2nd place 10 year old and there were no 11 year olds or younger kids ahead of him. I guess there were a lot of fast 12-14 year olds. Anyway, I just thought those numbers were interesting.

Anyone get any good deals? Our dishwasher broke again (third time) last night. HAHAHAHA. What a holiday!

Gorgeous, Kath..and the sweater is nice, too. :) Glad you are getting your hands in things. When is puppy d-day..tomorrow? Yay for Litch's kiddos...

Doing better today, but sore and more hurty for sure and realizing this is all going to take some real work and time and healing and that even then, it may still require surgery, which is a bit scary, but i have to be prepared for that reality. I'm looking at options for what I can do to help my body help itself right now. Steriods making me a big, puffy, fattier moon face which is frankly making me stabby (i know you all get that). I frankly can't wait to get off this stuff...I'm not a drug person at all and all this has proved that even more to me.

Easy walking on the TM and some easy PT strength stuff...still easy does it. big goal for today is grading. my students deserve updates, but sheesh...patience, grasshoppers...

ETA: Mindi---Ok, maybe that is a "slow' time for hardware, but OF COURSE you rocked it!!! Congrats!

Litch's kid is on the way to being a big star...

Yay for Bard and Moon spending Thanksgiving together!

Congrats on the HM, Ailarie! And congrats on the hardware, RIL!

Sorry to hear about the dishwasher, Crane. Maybe now's the perfect time to go shopping. If everybody went to Black Friday sales in the middle of the night, then all those people are probably asleep now. The stores might be empty now!

I just did 5 easy miles. It's almost warm out. I was sweating pretty good at the end of the run, and I wasn't even going very fast...

Nice pics, Kath. What is that called?

I need to go to the hardware store and pick up some acid for the hot tub. Our water is quite base wrt PH, so I've got to lower it a bit to get it within the proper range. That's it for my Black Friday shopping.

I'm at work right now, but I'm going to make it a short day.

Probably a cowl or capelet. A wrap? I put it under multiple categories on Ravelry. The pattern is called A Little Somethin', as in when the weather changes and a tshirt isn't quite enough, you need a little somethin' around your neck/shoulders. heh.

My Black Friday shopping consisted of stopping in at the local hardware up the street and getting some nylon nubbie things to put on the chairs & table to keep them from scratching the floor. Doing my part for Small World (a push to get everyone in the city to buy 1 thing from a locally owned store) a day early, since we won't be around much tomorrow.
