Games are relatively boring today as most teams are way overmatched. Too bad UGA and Florida don't play real football teams on their opening days.

<p>Thank goodness we didn't play a real team today.  We won 34-12, which doesn't look too bad on the surface.  But oh lordy, we were just terrible.  Thank goodness we have a few more duds (South Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky) before we finally play a real team (Alabama) on Oct 2...</p>

Boise State became a fave of mine ever since the day I almost kicked in my TV because I couldn't get the field to be green no matter how hard I adjusted it. </p>

<p>I used to yammer on about BSU (often right here) and no one paid much attention to me until the 2007 Fiesta Bowl...best football game most of us have ever seen.</p>

<p>A couple of games of note:  Jacksonville State (Alabama) beat Ole Miss in OT, 49-48.  So much for Ole Miss being a dark horse candidate in the SEC this year.</p>

<p>LSU looked like they were going to run all over UNC last night and led 30-10 at half, but had to hold on for dear life as UNC had two chances to win on the LSU 10 yard line as the game ended.  LSU 30  UNC 24.</p>

<p>The significance of LSU/UNC is that possibly  LSU fans are in for a very long season and  UNC is going to be a very good team once they show up with all their team members.</p>
