The donation is $600.00 per seat in addition to the amount of the season tickets. I gave them up because since I don't drink beer or wine (each tickets gets two free drinks of their choice) the alcohol factor was not a big deal with me. Also, I got tired of the sun during the noon and 1:00 games so I moved over to the upper west where we get the shade starting around 1:30.

As for the Miami game itself it seemed like coaching was non-existent at times. Every time Tech stopped Miami on 3rd down they did some stupid penalty to give them a first down. And then the two fumbles within the Miami 20 yard line just killed any momentum Tech had.

Oh well, next week Duke comes to town. Assuming GT beats them, it looks like we'll be going to the Independence Bowl in Shreveport. Yuck!

Of couse, if we beat UGA, we'll consider the season a huge success, but if the Tech defense does not learn that Division 1 collegiate football involves actually tackling runners, it's going to be a looong day in Athens.

So what is the face value of the tickets? I notice there is no price on them.

You sure have the sun thing nailed. It was nice yesterday, but a bit overwhelmingly bright by the third quarter. I can only imagine how little fun it would be for a noon start on a Saturday in September.

GT might be advised to add a passing play or two to their offense since sweep right/left seems to either gain 8 or lose 5....and lose 5 was the usual result on third down. They also had a Miami fumble recovery for a TD overturned or that one might have gone badly a lot earlier.

Miami isn't that good. I'm happy I will be in Colorado when GT travels to Athens. I don't think that one is gonna be pretty.
