1. Why do you run?
For that moment of zen when all you hear is your steady cadence and the inandout of your breath. Ahhh....I LOVE that.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?
So far? My children. Pushing them out would be just the start! But it's been a lifetime of learning already, just to know them, know their needs and put them first.

3. What is your motto/theme song?
This changes from day to day, but for today? My motto: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. And my theme song: Everyone's Beautiful by Waterdeep

4. How do you deal with bad runs?
What's a bad run? Any time I get to run, it's a good run...it ALL works to make me a better runner, better person...so the bad really ends up being good in the long run. Heh.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How?
I let myself enjoy it while I'm running...to notice it's a good run and enjoy it while you're there is reward enough.

6. Who do you admire most?
Probably my husband. I've never known anyone so determined, so honest, so willing to learn, so giving of himself to his family. I've never known anyone to work so hard for other people...and his heart is in the right place.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received?
You can choose to be what you want. You just have to make that choice and push forward. - My mom

8. What do wish you had learned younger?
To be selfless.

9. What do you wish you could do but can't?
I wish I could have 48 hours for every 24.

10. How would your friends describe your personality?
Decisive, loyal to a fault, gregarious, creative, determied and loving.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit?
My shorts and my blue sports bra. Soooo comfy.

12. What has been your favorite race?
Hands down: Austin Motorola Marathon in 2002. I ran it 2 months before we got married. It was my PR with finishing in 4:11:13 and I was proud of that. It was a GORGEOUS day and the crowd was amazing!!

13. Do you have a goal race right now?
The Austin half in February. We'll see. I'm taking life a day at a time right now. What with a 4 month old who won't let go of my boobs.

14. What makes you happy?
My family. My WHOLE family...even DH's side. Cooking, scrapbooking, sewing, hiking, canoeing, running...being outside, travel, experiencing new foods, making new friends, my relationship with God, how DH and I met, growing up in Guatemala...coffee, good beer, good chocolate, peanut butter...I guess I could go on and on in this category!

15. Tell us one interesting thing about you that you haven't said (at least not often) on this forum in the past.
Hmm...I'm pretty much an open book. If it's been talked about, I've said it. But let's see...I took fencing in college and I was the only girl to receive an A. It was an awesome class and I enjoyed taking the boys down a notch. Oh, and I had giardia and shigella at the same time when I was 8 years old. I was in the hospital for weeks! YUCK!

Sorry this is so short and so late...I just got back from the gym, and it's only 9:45 here in Texas.

Ask away...I love to answer questions.
