I've sometimes seen shoes on closeout for really great prices. Like Mizuno Inspire 2006 for $50. Other than the obvious updates to the shoe, (are there really that many when you stay with the same style?) are they really a good buy? Does it hurt a shoe to sit on a shelf for 2 years?

I've heard some people say that the midsole will firm up, but I've never noticed that in my experience. If you have run on the Inspire '06 and are fond of them, then pick up a pair.<br><br>
