Just bought myself another stick of Bodyglide. Will hand it to The Scot to place in my stocking. Nothing adds more day-to-day quality to my runs than that stuff.

Injury treatment and prevention items are always good. A few good ones include "The Stick", foam rollers, therabands or other stretching ropes, and yoga mats. Good shoe inserts always come in handy if you don't wear orthotics. The garmins are handy dandy devices as well. Hydration systems from handhelds to fanny packs to camelbak types.

And of course you can never have too many pairs of socks

tw, i thought i had everything. then i got a neck gaiter. if you're a pencil-neck geek like me, you might like 'em too. rei sells them, but probably in lots of stores.
http://www.rei.com/category/40003698.htm

even better: gortex hat baseball cap.
http://www.altrec.com/shop/detail/20642/

of course, in tucson the winter weather isn't so bad, and usually these are the only two things i need on the coldest days (just seeing if ilene is reading )

I put "wobble board" and "Dance Dance Revolution" on my Christmas list.

One of my favorite little running items is a headband by Pearl Izumi for bikers that covers my ears and stays neatly in place. Actually, I just lost it last week and bought a Smartwool headband instead. It's nice, too, but the PI headband is engineered a little better.

Tickets to a big track meet, like the Drake relays or (heehee of course) Prefontaine Classic or something like that. Great fun!

I'm notorious for buying myself things before Christmas. I just bought a neck gaiter (real Polartec fleece) for $3.99 at Marshall's.

Last year my girls bought me a great winter running hat that covers my ears nicely:

If you use a paper running log (like I do), a new one is always a yearly "must have".

I've been thinking about getting some Yaktracks this year.

Last year I asked my brother for a running bra (he actually got a big kick out of buying that one for me ).

I think I mentioned this somewhere else, but Marshall's has some of those nice fuzzy slipper socks that come packaged with a wooden roller/foot massager (for the women out there). I really hope my girls get me those.

I love mc's Goretex running hat. My DH has finally decided he might like to try running with a hat...I just might have to get him one of those. (BTW, mc, it gets cold enough for a gaiter in Tucson??)

I got the book Bowerman and the Men of Oregon for my birthday, and I've given two copies as christmast gifts so far this season. It's a great read for runners. History of oregon, bowerman, the olympics, and the creation of Nike. Good stuff.

http://www.amazon.com/Bowerman-Men-O...7772326&sr=8-1

I gave it as a dirty santa gift @ out track club christmas party last night and it was stolen from others as people fought over it.

I saw a cyclist with one of these strobe-lit jackets the other day: http://www.stridelite.com/Products/menHardJacket.htm

It was really cool looking! My DS (who was in his car seat in the back) was shouting that he wanted one just like it.
