Egg beaters in place of the eggs, replace some of the white flour with whole wheat pastry flour, use mini chips instead of the big ones so you can use less, use Splenda baking mix instead of sugar for some of the sugar (NOT the powdery stuff, there is a half sugar half Splenda mix just for baking). They have a recipe at splenda.com

I also have one for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from Cooking Light, if I find it I will post. I made them last week with a few of my own revisions and they were yummy.

I agree with seattlegirl..... don't mess with the recipes for the holidays. If you don't want to eat sweets don't eat 'em but don't alter the taste of something wonderful...... I always throw out any thoughts of healthy eating the last two weeks of the year and enjoy all the festive food.

I have wonderful childhood memories of Christmas time and all the tasty treats my mom and grandma would make only during the holiday season. In my mother's later years, she destroyed a recipe for my favorite cookies because she became obsessed with trying to make everything low fat.

Just enjoy the season
