Anyone tried chocovine on here. It's a Dutch dark chocolate and wine. I saw some at Kroger last night ($12.95) and started to buy a bottle just to see what it taste like and thought better not. Can't make up my mind if chocolate and red wine would go well together.

I spoke to a lady in my office is not only a wine connosieur but teaches wine classes as a hobby. She tried Chocovine once, did manage to swallow one sip and dumped the rest of her glass. In her opinion if you want good chocolate then buy good chocolate, and if you want good wine, buy good wine. But she thought the two together tasted rather gritty.

That being said she said she does have a few friends who absolutely love chocovine so as with any wine it depends ultimately on individual taste.

But I've decided to forego buying chocovine at this point. On the other hand if anyone wants to try a bottle at a a race meetup for some "wine tasting", I'd consider it.

Kalimoxio - is a 1:1 ratio of coke and cheap red wine. It's quite delicious, actually. Lot of the youngens in Northern Spain were drinking it, and it's not bad, considering wine made me tired and coke helped with the caffeine.

Interesting, the chocolate thing. If you ditch the sugar and milk...cocoa can be very interesting. Very bitter...not that I would have it with wine, but it can add very interesting flavors to stuff. Like, DanQ with his Skyline Chili

Also, I have had some jalapeno/chocolate mix. Interesting.

But, sweet chocolate, with wine...no...thanks.
