With registration opening in 2 days, I thought I'd start a thread where we can keep track of who is coming and whatnot. I live about 2-3 blocks from the finish this year!

Anywho, who is coming???

I would run it, but it's $110 and I've already done it. I am thinking about it though.

Marathoners
I am within walking distance of the Congress! I also work by the Allegro.
You better not be teasing!
ATTENTION: Word on the street is registration is likely to close by April 18th. If you are going to sign up, do it ASAP (now even).
32000+ registered as of today. Likely to close by the weekend.
What pace are you planning on training at GettingThere?
The CARA 10 minute groups are usually huge, but they're pretty organized, so if you like running with large groups go for it. They follow the Hal Higdon plan and typically have 3 different schedules for beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The Saturday or Sunday group runs are the only official ones, with I think an optional Wednesday for whomever shows up.

They also just starting last year have a huge 20 mile run that covers the entire lakefront that I think is probably the coolest thing to happen for the Chicago running community since I've been running, but if you are not part of a CARA group, you can always just pay for it.

If CARA doesn't sound good for you, you might want to also check out Chicago Endurance Sports. I know people that are happy with that program and think it's better organized than the CARA one.
Is it too early to start planning food and festivities? I also need to know if I oughta take that Monday off for recovery (and, nope, I'm not even running!).

Do we want a group dinner Saturday night?

Sunday, oache typically has us at the Clark St Ale House, right?
I really am bored today! And, I am leaving early to go to the dentist, so yeah...

Oooh Biah, add Brandy in a supporting role please!
I'm sure if I get the numbers early, I can find someplace!
Um, so like dinner y'all? Like Saturday night dinner...can a girl get a head count?
I wanted to set up shop on the south side because A) I'm from the south side and B) there are never enough people cheering on the south side. I plan to set up a rogue aid station around mile 22 or 24 (anyone have a preference?).

Amichel, if you do park near the Ale House and want to cheer with me in the hood (), then you can just take the red line to 33rd/35th/IIT and I can lead you from there.
