ROCK THE CASBAH PEOPLE! IT"S MY TURN!!!!!!!!<br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;">1. <b>Why do you run?</b></span><br><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">When I began running, I was doing it to get rid of some candy that decided to migrate into my thighs and butt and I knew running produced nice results as I had done it before, but now it’s so much more. There’s this sense of accomplishment and believing in myself that I have gotten from running that has migrated into the rest of my life. Anything is possible. I run because it is the physical manifestation of facing my challenges in life. Running makes me a better person in all areas of my life.</span></span></div>
<br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">2. <b>What is your greatest accomplishment</b>?</span></span><br><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">With running??? Probably making it through training for a half marathon in the</span></span> <span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Texas</span></span> <span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">summer. Next year it will be training for a marathon in the</span></span> <span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Texas</span></span><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">summer. Why</span></span> <span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">San Antonio</span></span> <span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">holds a marathon in November I don’t know…but if I make it through the summer, I’m gonna ROCK THE CASBAH! In my life, my greatest accomplishments are having good kids (for the most part) and getting accepted into Texas A&M.</span></span></div>
<br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">3. <b>What is your motto/theme song?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Motto is “I AM SUPERGIRL” (I even have a pink supergirl tattoo) Theme song is “Rock the Casbah”</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">4. <b>How do you deal with bad runs?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">I just accept that you can’t have good runs all the time…it’s just one of those things…but when you make it through those bad runs it’s great.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">5. <b>Do you reward yourself for good runs? How?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">No…I just like the feeling of really good runs. I like the high.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">6. <b>Who do you admire most?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">In running? My coach. I never knew people ran like that before. Plus, he’s got this laid back and yet serious attitude towards running. He’s disciplined without being anal…he’s got a good balanced approach. In life…I admire anyone who sticks up for what they believe in (even if I disagree with it)</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">7. <b>What is the greatest advice you have ever received?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">In running? SLOW THE F*CK DOWN! In life? WAIT. (patience is not my virtue)</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">8. <b>What do wish you had learned younger?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">The value of an education.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">9. <b>What do you wish you could do but can't?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">I never think of something as “I CAN’T DO IT”. It may be really difficult. I may not do it well. One thing I dream of is combining my love of archaeology and running by running around, in, on, some ruins...
WOO HOO! AWESOME! I'll be in front of the Alamo with a big KICK RUNNERS SIGN!
Great POTD Chele!<br><br>

Great POTD, Chele!<br><br>
I especially admire your can-do attitude <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
anthropology/archelogy?...sounds like fun...you know we've got some dinasaur footprints up here by Ft. Worth (Glen Rose) you can come study...I think they are 6000 years old and have a man leading them on a leash...<br><br>
are you moving to College Station?...I heard they already got a new football coach...<br><br>
did anybody ever tell you that you've got pretty eyes?<br><br>
oh, and can I get another look at those shorts?
Thanks Xavier!<br><br>
Obh thanks for the compliments! I'm about an hour from college station so I just commute twice a week.<br><br>
Time to bring this back up!
you must not have been studying very hard....I threw a trick question at you about the 6000 year old dinasaur footprints....
Chele, great POTD! Are those your eyes? Do you want to be like Lara Croft? I want her silver suit (from the movie). I think anthropology would be awesome! Good luck with everything. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
Thanks Chele! I loved my anthropology classes in University. Good luck with that, and the 08 Marathon!!
You rock, chele. I really like your attitude.<br><br>
So you're like Lara Croft? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
I caught it har har<br><br>
but actually archaeologists don't study dinosaurs...but it all gets intertwined somehow! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy">
SOlitude...yep those are my eyes <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"><br><br>

Thanks, Chele! I love the positive energy in your POTD. I'm slightly jealous that you get to study antropology like that. I enjoyed every anthro class I took in college.<br><br>
I can't imagine training in Texas summer heat -- you do rock!
Great post. I never took the time to see that you live in Houston. I just assumed you and MP were 'neighbors'. OY!
thanks SGH<br><br>
Todd...yep...MP and I are many miles apart...we wish we were neighbors...it'd be funny
