ROCK THE CASBAH PEOPLE! IT"S MY TURN!!!!!!!!<br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;">1. <b>Why do you run?</b></span><br><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">When I began running, I was doing it to get rid of some candy that decided to migrate into my thighs and butt and I knew running produced nice results as I had done it before, but now it’s so much more. There’s this sense of accomplishment and believing in myself that I have gotten from running that has migrated into the rest of my life. Anything is possible. I run because it is the physical manifestation of facing my challenges in life. Running makes me a better person in all areas of my life.</span></span></div>

In my life, my greatest accomplishments are having good kids (for the most part) and getting accepted into Texas A&M.</span></span></div>

My coach. I never knew people ran like that before. Plus, he’s got this laid back and yet serious attitude towards running. He’s disciplined without being anal…he’s got a good balanced approach. In life…I admire anyone who sticks up for what they believe in (even if I disagree with it)</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="color:#000000;">7. <b>What is the greatest advice you have ever received?</b></span></span><br><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">In running? Time to come back up <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy">
But how you do feel about the Casbah, Chele? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"><br><br>
Great POTD!! Archaeology is fascinating, good luck with that!!! I always watch the Discovery shows about digs and such and think it would be really cool to do that.
ROCK THE CASBAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!<br><br>
I bet 95% of archaeology is painfully time consuming, detail oriented, meticulous work...this is so not me...but for the time I get to see new places and old things, play in the dirt, and maybe discover something amazing...that's what makes it all worth it!
Hey Chele of the Single L! I really enjoyed reading your POTD, and I particularly liked the best advice you ever got about slowing down. Thanks for sharing!<br><br>
Chelle of the Double L
Thanks turtle...I figure being a mom, wife, student, runner, employee, cooking, cleaning, studying, working, running, yah I'm supergirl! I have to be!
First of all, I apologize for posting on your day! I forgot to post yesterday! I guess I was too busy cooking, cleaning and lighting candles<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy">. Your POTD is so informative and I love how you kept your focus on you as a runner. Good Luck with your education and future career in archaeology-very cool!
I have always been interested in Archaeology and History...I'd love to be like Tomb Raider...I have to believe there is some element of truth to these stories DAMN IT
Are you going to be like Indiana Jones? Cool!<br><br>
I need to heed the advice you were given (in both running & life)! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
Thanks Jen!<br><br>
As for Archaeology books...I recommend some writings by John Lloyd Stephens...very well done, laymens terms, but you almost feel like you're reading a story and not an actual true account. Very well written!
Excellent POTD post ...I love me some wine and some archeology and some anthropology ...oh and some running <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
Great POTD, Chele! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br>
I'm thinking that the SA Rock and Roll might be my next goal race - if so, I'd love to meet up with you!
