I'm not sure who's posting where....... we have a Carlsbad meet up thread going at active, but I thought it might be good to post one here, too..... the more the merrier<img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
We were in Carlsbad last weekend and I think we found the perfect restaurant to have a Boomer gathering. It's called Gregorio's ........ just off of Coast Hwy (part of the race route) in downtown Carlsbad, very good pasta (and pizza) just a few miles from the expo ..... they said they could accommodate a group of 20 to 40 on their outside patio (with heaters), best time would be late afternoon around 4 or 5 pm. I think the expo ends at 5, so the timing could work good for those driving back and forth from LA/Orange county area .<br><br>
Let me know whose interested and I'll make reservations in a week or two.<br><br>

I've had to bail from Carlsbad this year, an unscheduled 2 week trip to Calif earlier this month ate up my winter vacation days and a bout of tendonitis/bursitis in the ankle has cut my milage way back.<br><br>

The hills aren't like PV...... these are true rolling hills....nothing really steep or long.<br><br>
If the expo is like it has been in the past you might want to bring a fat wallet and spend some time shopping.<br><br>
Is FastForward going to be running? If he isn't, it's a good course to ride a bike as a spectator and/or coach <img alt="wink.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/wink.gif">

Fastforward is saving himself (but training diligently <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> ) for the Arizona relay race at the end of February. I will tell him to bring his bike.
