I have no clue on what rationale membership to a team is determined. Is it so that each team includes some high mileage and some low mileage exercisers, so that they are about the same level of competitiveness each? I have been trying to find an answer to this online, but no success.<br>
And is there a VRAA every month? If so, why does it start on the fourth, and not on the first of the month?<br>
Where do I find the answer to such basic questions?

I think this thread contains the answers to most of your questions. When you sign up you choose your level of "bad-assery" depending on how many miles per week you run and so forth. When the teams are put together they try to make it even so each time has people from all levels. As for starting on the 4th, I think it was because it was a Friday and people are more active on the weekend generally.

Additionally, the VRAA does not start up a new round each month. I'd say thus far it's been a round every few months or so with a break of several weeks in between each round.

Now I'm sure this is all just a bad rumor, but a guy I overheard was saying something about hearing somebody else say something about the three top runners each sending Roots $500 so that he would put them all together on Team J. I did look at that thread, but did not find the answer to the questions. I still do not, upon looking at it again. But thanks for the answers! it helps me understand. I thoughtI would understand as I was joining and seeing the day-to-day progression.

No, not every month. There have been 3 since I joined in July.<br><br>
It doesn't always necessarily start on the 4th.<br><br>
