Let's see if the Butt Kicksters can fly here in the Running Clubs forum!

I slept late, it's hotter than the 4th of July, so I'll be jumping on the treadmill here in my air-conditioned living room and legging out 4 miles today.

I have been running away. Most recently a terrible 7 mile hill run yesterday where my body decided it just didnt want to run so it would be fun to make me miserable the entire time. Today, thanfully is a beautiful rest day.

Wow. . .a man who sews. . .if you can cook too. . .

Okay, sorry - it is a complete assumption that you, Hairy, are a man. If not, let me add that a woman who sews and cooks is also completely swoon-worthy as well!!

I am scared to death! It will be my first race!!!

But I guess I dont really care, I just wanna have a good time! Its 99% downhill, so if all else fails, I can just roll down to the finish line!

Oh, and the best part!!! I get to meet muzkgrl!!

I ran a gorgeous 50K on Sat at SOB in Ashland. My time was mediocre though. That lets me train hard for the next two weeks.

Got to coordinate Jaloween costumes with another guy who's running one of my Oct goal races. We're going to wear trashy running skirts and thongs. There is a "best buns" contest so I figure that a thong would give me an edge.

ummm, I probably need to do a training schedule thing.

Guess I should go find one huh? Right now my longest run has been 4 miles. (since I started running again) and since the race is 6 miles, I am just trying to get there!

I'm running tomorrow, and doing my long run on Friday, since we are going camping this weekend.

I have a training schedule, but to be honest, I've only followed it correctly about a week and a half.

I always get my long runs in though, but it seems like I'm always moving this run here, and that run there.

I've also struggled getting up early to run. It's much better when I do, the weather is better, and I feel good the rest of the day. However, I struggle getting out of bed. (like always)

The heat and the soccer tryouts are kicking my rear right now. I did get in a slow 4 mile run today.

I am in real trouble in about 10 days when I take 2.5 weeks vacation with almost zero running planned.

Hopefully I'm looking at a 50-mile week. Ran 10 Monday, 10 Tuesday, 5 Wednesday and 5 yesterday. Planning on 20 tomorrow.

I was a bit knackered Wednesday and Thursday, though. Then again, I gotta keep reminding myself that that is what training is -- breaking your legs down to build them up. I'm still not following any particular schedule. I'm not even sure I'd be up to a 20-miler yet under the HH plan I usually follow.

I also went over the 900-mile mark for the year the other day. So now I'll be motivated to quickly close in on 1,000 miles.
