I currently toss most of them but it seems so wasteful. I was thinking about trying to use them in a batch of mashed brocc or cauliflower. Anyone else do this?
i eat the stems. they are yummy <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">
I use the tops of the broccoli stems, where they're not too tough. Slice them really thin and saute in a tiny bit of olive oil with garlic. They're delicious. Or you can blanch and add to salads.
