mmmm. I love brioche. did you eat it plain?<br><br>
there is a La Brioche Cake in The Cake Bible (with hazelnut buttercream frosting, if I remember correctly.) It's fantastic!

I just ate it plain this time. It was so eggy and buttery. Oh. It was a party in my mouth. Oh.<br><br>

ah-ha! we should have a brioche baking day. it can be a little tough at this altitude, but i've made some pretty passable loaves while living here.

I passed by some loaves of challah at Whole Foods the other day. Now THAT is a beautiful bread. I stopped short and beheld their golden glossitude.

Did I tell you I borrowed her pie and pastry Bible from the library? I was too busy at the time to try any of the recipes, but boy did they look amazing, especialy her <i>designer apple pie.</i>
