<p>Sorry I haven't been around much. To much going on dealing with my job search and the kids being out of school.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>anyway, I just posted a big announcement in the PRT and I figured it was easier to send you there than repost the whole thing here.</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Please see this thread for all the details.</p>

<p>Congrats Boiler. What kind of job did you land?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>And more importantly; why did you tell the kids of prt first instead of us old timers? We won't even remember in the morning. </p>
<div>I will be working at <span class="yshortcuts" id="user_lw_1278970919_0" style="border-bottom:medium none;background:transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Deutsche Bank</span> here in Jacksonville as a Deployment Manager. It is VERY similar to what I was doing at <span class="yshortcuts" id="user_lw_1278970919_1" style="border-bottom:#366388 2px dotted;background:transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Blue Cross</span> before I got laid off. I could post the official job description if you want me to but that might be kind of boring. Salary is almost identical to what I had when I got laid off so that was a big bonus. I had fears that since the job was less technical they might try and offer me less but they didn't. Medical and Dental Insurance from Day 1, etc etc etc. I will get all the benefit details in the next day or so. Right now the big step is the start of the background check, the <span class="yshortcuts" id="user_lw_1278970919_2" style="border-bottom:medium none;background:transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">drug test</span> and the fingerprinting. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>The office is about 1.5 miles from the <span class="yshortcuts" id="user_lw_1278970919_3">Blue Cross office</span> where I used work. I have decided not to tell my friends at BC about the job until I am there. I will then send them an emails titled Hey and in the body just say, "Look at the return address!"</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This has been a long tough stretch for myself and my family. I talked to my dad and I could hear the smile in his face. My brother was just as happy. Tonight we go out to dinner, tomorrow I go out to buy some good beer to help celebrate and then get all the stuff done around the house that needs to get done before I am to busy working again.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I would also like to give a HUGE Thank You to Ribs for all his help in giving me ideas on my job searching, answering questions etc etc etc.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks Everyone.</div>
<p>Congratulations Boiler!!!!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>A lot of people have been struggling during this recession so it is great to see people getting back to work.</p>
<p>That was kind of you but not necessary. That company is getting a first-class professional, and we are all very happy for you and your new employer. Knock 'em dead! Spareribs</p>
<p>This is great news! I can only imagine how difficult it's been to be out of work with a family to support. But patience and perserverance paid off! Congrats FB!</p>
