I rode it last year and it was my best week! Last year my life was upside down so to speak so it was a vacation for me!<br><br>
You can do the whole week or Brag lite.<br><br>

Last year woulda been perfect for you Dave...started in Columbus.<br><br>
I rode 525 that week. I did their regular milage the first 3 days...then on the Wed. I did a bumpy century...Thursday I added a hammer route...Friday I added the hammer + extra milage to get a century and Sat we rode into Savannah.<br><br>
This year it's supposed to be Atlanta to Tybee or something.<br><br>
Sheldon wouldn't let me do it. I'm not even gonna ask. Right Sheldon? No bike fun for Sherry? Sherry not allowed to have fun.<br><br>
Oh, last year it was June 6-12 or something like that.

The dates are bad, I will be in Sunny Iraq during that timeframe. maybe another year.

How bad was it, in the hottest dang part of the summer?? Did you bring a tent or a sleeping bag? Shower trucks, we're they nice or totally disgusting? And, once you get to the destination, you have to remove your handlebars & pedals, right? I read that last year, in order for all of the bikes to fit on the truck carrying them back to the starting point.<br><br>
Most of all, did you bring 6 pairs of bike shorts?

I brought a pair of bike shorts and tri shorts. You can wash them in the shower. I slept mostly at the schools-air conditioned.<br><br>
We stopped at a college where we got a dorm room for a little extra.<br><br>
the high-maintenance ladies I went w/insisted we had a hotel one night.<br><br>
You don't want to pack a lot...trust me. Lugging luggage is the suck.<br><br>
Luggage truck is the suck. You had to put your own shizzle on the truck and be able to throw it on top of the pile.<br><br>
if you want to tent, stay with "Bubba"<br><br>
the towel lady was worth the $25.<br><br>
I only turned my handlebars and took off pedals in Savannah. I will never put Mikey on that truck again. It was a MESS!
