GOGOGO Duck and Jen and all the Boston peeps! (I'm sorry, I can't remember the whole string of names I read yesterday.)

I got nuthin but ache today.

Yesterday was cold and WINDY and I was over dressed and my foot started to hurt (from having the splinter cut out) about a mile in. Which I'm sure threw everything else off, and eventually my right knee and left hamstring were very unhappy. As I ran into the Glass Bowl stadium (you sprint across the field to the finish line) my right calf cramped up. Pffththt.

No idea how I managed 2:04. I wasn't trained for that and everything hurt. Still hurts, especially after I've been sitting for a while. Dh keeps laughing at me cause I walk like my mom.

Sic Jackjack on him. Not in a vicious way of course, but a "go give dad so many slobbery kisses that he has to go through the trouble to change clothing from all the dog drool" kind of way! :)

Notice, I didn't say to use Gus for that job. Somehow, he doesn't seem like the kissykissy slobbery kind of dog. That wouldn't be dignified, and all!

Oh yeah.. fitness: I didn't finish my inner/outer thigh and core stuff yesterday, so I'll get that in today. I'm glad it's a day off of running. I am still FAR more sore than I expected to be after a 10k. It's all good, though!

Go go Boston Peeps! Seize the day!

That sucks that your foot effected the rest of your body, Kath. Hope you feel better soon. BTW, Nice job!!!!

Enjoy your rest day, RIL.

Have a good run RFTL.

I went for my first run in 10 days last night. My knee had been acting kind of crazy, so I decided to rest it. The run last night was pretty good and I feel good about going back out at some point today.

I also decided to join a gym. I'll probably wait until I get back from my spring break travels to do it, but I really miss going.

Best wishes to our Boston peeps!

I completed a home gym and pilates workout this morning. I'm starting to feel good after my morning fitness. I noticed as I headed out the front door for work today how much better I felt.

I've lost 3 pounds so far this month and it has stayed off. I'm down to 230 and change. For psychological reasons I would like to get down to the upper 220s (say 228) by months end. Then the goal for May can be to be just under 225. If I stay active then losing 5 pounds a month for a few months is not out of the question considering I ended up at 234 due to being totally inactive and eating like a horse. heh. Back when I was active and watching what I ate, my weight got down to about 208ish. So again I have some excess weight that I can hopefully be rid of in the next few months. I'm doing better on my water consumption at home. I've ditched the cokes for my old standard Diet Dr. Pepper (for meals). I even started ordering tea at lunch instead of a coke. I know it's not that much better but it does trump a coke I believe. Anywho, I hope to finish strong in April. This is by far the best fitness month in years. I have only missed one workout due to donating blood but I am not even worried about that one bit.

My legs feel pretty good after the Saturday mishap. I am a tad nervous about tomorrow mornings 3 miler. Just hoping there is no pain. I am going to take it easy and just attempt to knock it out at a relaxed pace and not over do things.

Go Boston peeps and congratulations again for the weekend!

I cobbled together 3.5 before and after little miss evil today. I kind of want to fast forward to race day so I can stop thinking about it! That's a good sign, right? Right?

YAY Boston Peeps... may the wind be at your back (sounds like it literally is) Duck, Jen, Pacer, Jill and folks like roots, SGH, BHearn, Rochey (hope I'm not missing anyone)

Assorted strength training last night. May get out and walk around SF, depending on the weather...if I do, I'm going to check out Lotta's Fountain, which the survivors of the 1906 earthquake here used as a rendezvous point (today is the 105th anniversary of that event))

Good racing, runs, workouts or rest days to you all
