Sorry for the cross post from Running Ahead, but I wanted to be sure to touch bases with everyone! I moved out to the suburbs...and while I love my new home, it's not easily accessible to the out of town folks for a Boston Marathon pre-race party!

I'd be more than happy to reserve some space at a local restaurant/brew pub for a casual pre-race get-together, though, if folks are interested. Let me know! Saturday? Sunday? Which day or time works for you?

Happy training!

Hope you guys have fun (I know you will). The worst thing about not running Boston this year is missing all of the fun stuff before and after!!

I contacted The Lir pub in Boston: http://www.lironboylston.com/ and they tell me that they will reserve a space for us! It is located almost directly across the street from the Hynes Convention Center, where packet pickup and the race expo is. This will be an informal, pay-your-own way kind of get-together, but they will set aside some room for us depending upon how many people we tell them to expect! It's not a fancy place, but it has some typical pub noshes and, of course, beers.

So, all I need to get is a sense of how many folks to expect and what time works the best for you all.

I'm thinking Sunday April 17 from 2-4 PM? How does that work for you all?

I think Paul is the only one from Kickrunner group going to Boston this year.

I am running Boston! And I will definietely be there! Like Erika says the funnest part of running Boston will be the pre and post race get togethers. I will bring my bikini to wear if you guarantee me warm sunny weather!

Hey Masters,

Greetings from the 30s (it's just a nickname at this point). From Auntie Moe of Boston, my hostess for the weekend, on the topic of a 30s post-race:

Hi peeps!

Of course, I'm up for meeting up post race! Last year, we went to Jacob Wirths right after the race (and maybe onto to Flash's after? I'm starting to mix up the years.) Wirth's had the free chowder for runners. Also, I'd love to host a little Sun night pasta party again this year, if any of you would like to come. Duck, if there are Masters around, do invite them too.

So maybe we can combine the two small groups into one on Monday, but if not see Moe's invitation for pasta on Sunday night. You can PM either one of us for more detail. She's in the Jamaica Plain area if memory serves.
