After looking at the Intrepid racers thread, it looks like we should have another large group for Boston. I had the chance to meet some of you two years ago at the expo for a quick photo op. Let's try to do the same in '08. Of course I would also be remiss if I didn't lobby for the boomer water stop near mile 20. Are you listening Pro?

Since I will be there this year for the first time, I sure hope the soiree' at henrun's and Marj's will be a place to rub elbows with my favorite runners too.

The Pro is running. There will be a water stop manned by LaT and me, and maybe Tnally and Caddsifli and whoever else wants to help. However, we are not going to be taking orders like Pro did. We will have an assortment of water and sports drinks and bananas and a loud cheering section. Sorry but who can do what Pro does? Unless of course he wants to take and fill the special orders, print up the sheet with who gets what and when to expect them, put it in a plastic sleeve and stock them in a wheeled cooler. We would be happy to retrieve them

hally is right on the money. Even worse, the big HTH flag will be missing. So those who know the spot are in luck. 20.9M.

Depending on weather JJ, your meeting may work out. I live 4M from the start and will be sitting in my living room with others (perhaps you), staying dry, warm, or cool, depending. Then getting a last minute shuttle to the start at 15 min to start.

Craig,
I will take you up on the starting line offer! Shaving off 2 hours of waiting in a tent is huge. Does the 4 mile trek require running there? If so I will bring my rollerblades.
Since Pro is running and I am not, I would suggest that either Pro gets to drink my Boston 06 drink mix at the stop or you put it in the pile and use it like you use the bullet in a game of Russian Roulette.

This talk about Boston is getting me excited and a bit jealous. Good luck everyone on your training. It will be an amazing experience.

According to this site there will not be a Freedon Run in 2008. And it sounds like not everybody will be hanging at the Athlete's Village (I plan to, just for the experience and because I'll be with friends). So let's meet at the Olympic Trials.

I just looked at this site and the Freedom Run is on the schedule for Sunday, but then I scrolled down and saw that it is cancelled. I was looking forward to it since it was my favorite part of Boston last year.

PDR and I want to meet people at the expo. Hopefully we don't find there are two meetings, one with the RA group and one with the KR group. How do we keep all the boomers informed? Currently I don't read KR often enough to be the liaison.

Lou,

There are at least a few people who go both ways (so to speak).
I am just going to stay flexible pre race. Henrun may have brunch (I hope I'm not speaking wrongly here). If weather is bad my LR get pressed into service.

But post race, we do need to organize. Last year we ended up with a small group at one and another somewhere else.

Too bad Lance is too young to invite to our get together: http://www.thebostonchannel.com/spor...80/detail.html
