What do you use?

I tend to use pictures and those little cards that you get in magazines. I was looking through all of the books that I have " in progress" and I found that I have a very interesting array of book marks, nothing is ever the same.

When I was a kid I always ordered different book marks from the book club. Some had puppies some had horses but they all had the tassle.

I just try to remember where I left off, not always easy when I have a habit of falling asleep while reading at night before bed.

Right now I'm starting a book over again because I put it down for a few months and now I have no clue where I was in it...

I use the bibs from past races. I just got a new one, with a PR that I wrote on the back.

I've used an index card, reciept, gum wrapper or other candy wrapper, the book jacket, placed the book face down, folded the corner. If I'm not that interested in the book, I'll just try to remember the page number.

Bux is a dog-earer!

One of the local bookstores here gives you a bookmark with your purchase, so I usually have one of those handy, or I'll use whatever piece of paper is hanging around in reach. If nothing is around, I just remember the page number.

I have a friend who writes in books. Gah!

I have two book nazi friends. I'm afraid to borrow from them. So I don't. One time I accidentally banged up the book jacket to one of my friend's books, so I just ordered and shipped her a new one. I knew she'd be mad, otherwise!!

I fold pages down. But I also use the cards that come in magazines.

When I have ones with tassles, I can't pry my cats off me until they destroy it.

I use whatever is handy but there are free bookmarks at the checkout at the library so I use those most of the time.

I have a friend who borrowed one of my Harry Potter hardback books and spilled coffee all over it. He didn't replace or return it. It actually still pisses me off...

Some one borrowed my HP too and it has stains and stuff all over it and the bindings out of wack so I will have to buy another one!

I rarely lend out books because I'm the book nazi, and the magazine nazi. I freaking hate it when people read my magazines before I get to them... even thumbing through them irritates me.

I have an ATM receipt that someone used as a bookmark ... from 1986!!!

It's heavy-weight paper with rounded edges ... like a teeny, vintage, airline boarding pass, or AmTrak ticket.
