We are currently seeking an in-house attorney. My office handles receptionist duties amongst other things, so HR passes us the names of interviewees so we know to expect them. Anyway as soon as they gave me the name of the first interviewee to expect this morning I knew the person from when the applicant and I worked at the same law firm 20 years ago.

Whether she will remember me is another story. At that time I worked in IT. It was a large law firm and I don't remember if she worked at the firm the entire four years that I did. Just a small world out there.

It is. My current boss was two years behind me in my undergrad program and one of the auxillary staff was in my year in undergrad. Of course the gene pool in my profession is pretty shallow, so I guess it should be expected.
