High ropes course? What's this all about?

I went shopping last night for some fall clothes. Went through my closet on the weekend and most of my stuff is either too big, too small or I just don't like it anymore. I ended up with a nice shirt and a pair of dark wash jean capris (those weren't on my list, but they were on sale for $5 so I just couldn't resist). So I have more shopping to do, obviously.

Fun? Not really. I slept like crap last night. Woke up in the middle of the night to pee. (What am I? 65 years old?) Then right after I got back to sleep, the phone rang and there was nobody there. Then after getting back to sleep again, the kiddo woke up and started crying.

Ugh, today will be a looooooong day at work...

Bob that type of night sounds familiar.

Evelyn still isn't sleeping through the night. We were so spoiled with Lena, she slept through after 3 months. But no, not Evelyn. She goes to bed around 8 PM. Wakes up around 1, hungry. We give her a bottle in bed because she doesn't want us to feed her now, she wants to feed herself. Sometimes she'll fall asleep while drinking the bottle and drop it and not be able to find it so she'll cry and you have to go back in and give it to her. That might happen 3 or 4 times over an hour or two. So those nights you're up and down and up and down. She'll wake up again around 5 AM and want another bottle. At that point she'll also need a fresh diaper. Again, she sometimes will fall asleep with that bottle and then wake up a bunch of times. It leads to a night of very broken sleep. And DH is on backshift this week so I'm on my own with her all night. *yawn*

Last night was a total suckfest for me too. (Nothing new there, though. And Bob, I wake up to pee pretty much every night. At least once.)

I had a weird dream in the 4 minutes I actually slept last night. I was with GoV, Maria, and Solar, and Maria was packing for a trip. One of the things she was taking was a wooden rifle that was in 2 pieces, so Theia the gun expert* was demonstrating how to put it together and fire it. Inside. Until Solar (who was wearing one of those ridiculous bump-it thingies in her hair) suggested that I not play w/ guns in the house.

clare - my first two were the opposite of yours. DD was colicky and did not sleep through the night until 18 months. I am convinced that the people I worked with at that time must have hated me, because I was always tired. My son slept through the night at 2 weeks for the first time.

Welcome back Missy, can't wait to see pictures of Allie Kate. Don't worry, that hazy feeling will be over in about 18 - 21 years:)

Well, I just had an extreme not-fun bit of time. There was a fatal crash this morning and the local news had pictures of the vehicle. It looks enough like our van that I got the phone out to see when I had last talked to DH. 5 minutes before the crash. Then I couldn't reach him for a bit. I did, panic over for us, but a really bad day for somebody!

awww...I'm so happy you are doing well, Missy, and Allie is a great nickname!

Picked up Tad this morning...only thing they can figure is when they got in the car, the floor mat was stuck under the gas pedal. Anyway, he seems to be driving ok so far, and they did a state inspection, oil change and brake inspection, and told me it runs great, so who knows? only cost me $100 so I'm not going to complain (and nothing for test driving it, just the cost of the inspections and the fluid removal.)

I had SO much fun at the Sox game last night, exc for (or maybe because of) this first date, completely annoying couple behind us that would.not.shut.up. I finally txted my sister and said "I am going to rip his arm off and beat him with it" (that's a joke between us) and she responded "you go girl! get angry!" I freakin' love my sister. :)

I went to the game with "the guy" (TG? does this work with everyone?) and things are feeling back on track. Which makes me very happy.

Hey folks!

So glad Missy checked in, can't wait for pictures.

Add me to the no sleeping list. Going on 3 days now with a total of maybe 5 hours sleep. Been having some really odd mystery pains and seems that even the slightest movement was setting it off. So every time I would move in my sleep, shooting pain and I would wake up. Luckily i have a doc appt Thur morning so hopefully he tells me it is nothing to worry about. But man, never had pain like this, several times it caused me to stop and sit because it took my breath away.

Despite that, hoping to get to the circus with the little man tonight, it's in our town, only about 2 miles away from my house. I think he will flip out so hoping we make it!

And for your viewing pleasure...little man chilling with one of the many gifts DH brought back from his trip

Glad to see you back online, Missy! Can't wait for the pics!

Sorry to whine about the lack of sleep last night. I know for some of you folks, this is a typical thing. My wife is another one who often has trouble sleeping. Me, I typically sleep like a rock. So nights like last night really shake me up...
