Ok, I am about to begin my training for the Rev3 Full in 2012 at Cedar Point. I want to get faster on the bike and I know that the easiest way to do that is to lose weight. Also, I'm feeling heavy and lethargic. For me, I will probably post some measurements, too, but I am starting a slow built through October, and will really pick it up as I head to November. I may fall off the wagon a little as I have to help my folks move, but for the short term, I will be eating better/less and starting to get back to the pool 2x per week, run at least 2x per week, and bike at least 2x per week. I do have the Jewish Holidays' this week, but let's see how it goes!

Today: 166lb

Goal: Improved eating habits, when we cook we eat a lot better! No gain for the month of October.

My avatar is now a picture of doughnuts...to torment me. Because I look a little like a fluffy doughnut at the moment.

Will do measurements this weekend and I promise to post them. It's time to be accountable.

Go Ron!!!

Somehow I gained 3lbs in 3 days...let's blame hormones.

I need to buy a new scale, ours is not so accurate - suggestions on scales that aren't going to set me back a ton of money?

MoCo - I'm in, let me buy a new scale this weekend so I can have an accurate goal.

Sweet banana cream pie this new scale is way more accurate and depressing!

Old scale: 166

New scale: 173.4 *sigh*

Goal 12/31: 166 on the new scale.

Reward: New pair of Lucky jeans

Penalty: No coffee or coffee type products (zero, zilch, nada) for 1 week

A week (almost) of vacation...back on the scale in the morning to see what the damage was! But first, 10 minutes of ab work and a bowl of ice cream.

SW 173.4

CW 170.4 (apparently I didn't eat a thing on vacation...)

GW 166 (I have a feeling I'm going to need every single minute from now until 12/31)

I said I would post it...

Don't worry, Sparty. It makes sense that it would take a solid pair of hips to birth a god. ;-)

I do admit it may have made giving birth to a 9lb 8oz baby a bit easier.

DH and I talked about me quitting my job and we decided that we couldn't afford it yet...so I bought a venti mocha and a doughnut this morning to drown my sorrows. Good thing I brought a light lunch.

TSM - hope you're feeling better soon!

Had more butter in the last couple of days then I have in a couple of weeks...will measure the damage in the morning. Trying a new approach to losing weight. For me it isn't activity level, it's food choices...99% of the time.

I knew it! Grrrr

Yup. My sister is doing this as well, over the last year she has developed a lot of IBS/GI symptoms that no one can really seem to pin point. She's on day 3...her willpower is AMAZING (as is yours!), though I suppose if I was suffering like this I would be more willing to cut out foods that were making me sick.

God help me (and everyone else) if someone told me I had to give up milk...

I think I'm figuring things out - this whole 'no running' approach is helping curb my appetite...now I just need to workout more consistently for longer periods of time.

We've been adding a lot more beans and veggies this last week, hoping to fill up on that stuff before I rush head first into a loaf of bread.

Due to a monthly situation things are ugly on the scale...I'm REALLY hoping that is the culprit otherwise I may need medical intervention to explain 4lbs since Tuesday...I also may need a transfusion (oh sorry, TMI?! )

Today was even more...ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I better start weaning myself off of coffee b/c at this rate my punishment is more likely than my reward...although I'll have to buy new pants either way!

Way to go Julie!

I evened out a bit by week's end, but still ended up higher than last week.

I may be joining this wacked out no bread group for a couple of weeks...realized the other day (and this is going to sound stooopid) that my thyroid has gone out of whack again. Hint o' goiter on the butterfly. Bastard. Can't get in to a doctor for a month, so I'm looking at more holistic options - one of which is diet. Some say low-to-no gluten, others say no cruciferous veggies (which I freakin' love) and still others say reduce dairy. WTH am I supposed to eat?! Will take another day to read up a bit more and then attempt to see if I can right the ship. If I'm right about all of this then I may have some answers to some less than awesome issues in 2011.

Ok Scott, I had to suppress a giggle over the Panda Puffs. After doing a little more research today the gluten-free thing probably won't be the first thing I try. I'm going to start with taking a Vitamin D supplement and changing up my veggie intake.
