Okay, I've been riding my beautiful road bike every day to deal with the Never-Ending Stress Fracture issue. My thumb hurts to rotate--- both a little, but the right one much more so. I can pop them and make the pain subside (and completely disappear in the left hand) but it's back each morning. They can still move every way that I need them too and there's no numbness or anything.

Need I be concerned?

Sorry--I dont have an answer for you QUIX and FOX--but I too, suffer from hand "pain" from my bike--and am looking for answers...

When I ride my left hand goes to sleep--whats the deal--how do I correct it? I am not sure how to change my hand postions to reduce the sleepiness? thanks

DH dropped my stem(handlebar not seat) over an inch, much better. He mentioned something like a curved stem should help push it forward a bit. I'm long body with short legs, so I need to be lower and out a little further than standard. I now can ride upright also instead of just on the lower handlebars. I want aerobars, but DH tells me that's what my other bike is for.

But I can never rider my tt bike because parts are always missing. And I was lost without my powertap. I wore my HRM yesterday and it was a pretty good backup to make sure I rode easy

Most pain in arms, hands, and shoulders is usually due to poor fit on the bike. Too much forward lean and too much weight bearing up front and not behind (if you know what I mean ) Ideally you should be able to ride leaned over your handle bars without having to use them for support; mostly for control.

My thumb pain stopped as I rode more. *shrug* Dunno if it was one of those aches, or my position changed, but no more problem.

experience must have something to do with it. The base of my palm by my thumb was hurting again, but I'm very unsteady with the 20-30 winds I've been riding in. DH saw me riding and said I have a "death grip". I said "no kidding?!!!"
