Okay, I've been riding my beautiful road bike every day to deal with the Never-Ending Stress Fracture issue. My thumb hurts to rotate--- both a little, but the right one much more so. I can pop them and make the pain subside (and completely disappear in the left hand) but it's back each morning. They can still move every way that I need them too and there's no numbness or anything.

Need I be concerned?

Hey,

I don't know a lot about bicycle-related injuries, but I am guessing it is good that you aren't feeling numbness/tingling, which would suggest carpal tunnel issues to me.

Some of the skimming I did at a bicycle forum seems to suggest that the fit of the bike can have something to do with it? Or that something called "rotating the hoods inward a slight amount" can help? I have no idea what that phrase means, though!

I hope some more riders can add their experience here!

My hands tend to feel tingly when I ride, but it goes away right after.

I'm highly impressed that your copious amounts of bike riding is only leaving you with a sore thumb. I wouldn't be able to walk!
