Lots of silly threads here the last couple of days. Keeps me entertained. What do you think was the best TV show ever?

Me. Hands down Ally McBeal. It was one of those great watercooler shows. I developed a couple of great friendships talking about that show. It make you cry, it made you laugh your a$$ off, and it made everyone who watched it forgive Robert Downey Jr. for all his drug use!!!

Oooo…LRR…my wife and I really like FNL too. Discussing it after Friday's episode with her I declared that Tim Riggins is the most resilient character in just about any TV show ever. He takes what anybody throws at him and he bounces right back. I came to this conclusion (that is if the show continues): When Tim Riggins graduates…and he will graduate just barely…scholastically he won’t be able to go to college. Maybe he just won’t feel like going to college. So, he ends up in the Army or USMC and thrives because the military gives his life structure and stability that he hasn’t had. He gets shipped to Baghdad (and possibly ends up getting killed) and earns The Congressional Medal of Honor.

Dan

Easy, Magnum PI.

It had EVERYTHING. Sweet cars, great locale, a sense of humour, real drama, action, hot chicks, cameraderie, and guns. I was a little young (OK too young) to get the Vietnam references, but they gave me a Cliff Notes version of the war and a frame of reference when I got old enough. Even today when I hear about Sen. McCain being a POW in Vietnam, it is Thomas, TC, and Rick that I picture.

And I'm not sure, but I think that the ladies found Tom Selleck to be OK looking.
