I did the engraved flasks, and I don't think I've ever used the one I bought for myself. A friend gave engraved baseball bats - I thought it was right on the spot since we used to go to baseball games all the time in high school.
I have received an engraved money clip, key chain, and pocket knife. They have lasted longer then the individual marriages.

I received an engraved beer glass that is still "going strong" as is that particular marriage.

I like the monogrammed flask idea

For being a groomsman, DH has 3 engraved flasks, and 2 engraved pocket watches.

Oh yeah, and more golf balls than any one person could ever need.

I like the consumable ideas, like beer of the month, etc.
I bought my best man a nice watch. He seemed to like it. Neither of us are big drinkers or hunters so a flask or a knife would've been... weird.
I have an engraved baseball bat. I keep it in the office, just in case a client gets out of line.

Also, I received a book from a groom. He was on a budget but he selected a book for each of his groomsmen that he thought they would like and he wrote a nice inscription.

I gave leatherman tools to each of my guys.
