I want to tell the management staff first.

I just found out earlier today that I have MS, I have been waiting for the neurologist to say it for over a year, and I finally got him to say it today.

The course of treatment right now is, changing a little than what it has been before. He is adding an IV steroid to be given to me once a month, at home by a visiting nurse which takes about an hour.

Right now I take a muscle relaxer seven times a day (every three hours) and a 10 MG valium at bed time.

He also ordered me to cut back on my work hours, which I am not complaining about.

I will be in the office for another 1½ hours then I am going home, and I am also taking tomorrow off. Jen was with me, when I finally beat it out of the doctor, and so she knows. We talked for about 45 minutes after the appointment and she is upset, he hasn't hit me yet, although I am having a little trouble focusing on my work.

Hopefully the new treatment helps, and I can continue to plug along, but that remains to be seen.

Oh Greg, I dont know what to say. I'm so sorry.

Hopefully they can find a good treatment for you that will keep the symptoms to a minimum.

If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

You and your family will be in my prayers!

Greg,

It must have been frustrating to wait that long for a diagnosis. Even though it isn't desireable to have a chronic health condition at a relatively young age, I hope there is some relief for you in being diagnosed. It's too bad the doctor was so hesitant to share information with you, but hopefully he/she had a good reason.

I also hope you are doing well with treatments, and continue to do so. I'm sure you know there are newer MS drugs as well as many complementary therapies that could be worth exploring. I have two friends who were diagnosed with MS in their late 20s, and both have found ways to remain active and athletic.

Take good care of yourself.

Wow, Cappy. If anyone has the strength of spirit and sense of humor to deal with a diagnosis like that, you do. As the others have said, I'm here for you if there's anything at all I can do to help. Or make you smile. Maybe you'd like me to keep stalking you?

How about some less subtle stalking

You are right, my sense of humor has been very helpful, and often times provides me with some much needed comedic relief.

Sometime its hard to keep a positive attitude when you feel like you keep getting shit on all the time, but I manage.
