I am a decent baseball fan and one thing I've always loved are the stadiums. I've been to a good few of them, and try to hit up all the historic ones. But of the big three (Wrigley, Fenway, Yankees), I haven't been to NY for a game nor have I even seen the thing in real life. Now that it's ending its run at theend of the year, I have to make a decision: whether or not to fly up for a quick game. Is it worth it or not? I have heard that it's overrated, dirty and nasty, but I've also heard that the history totally outweighs all that.

What say you?

GO!! Take the subway there too. And definitely get a drink before or after the game. It's not dirty or nasty. Some people who have an unnatural hatred of all things Yankees are propagating that rumoUr

While you are there you can get to Shea too.

I was there last year. It's much cleaner than Fenway but not as nice as Wrigley Field. Unlike Fenway you don't get robbed by the parking prices. One thing I hated was the manufactured noise between batters and between innings. But the noise in the new Boston Garden is even worse.

Well, I'll be there the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, 1:05 game time, against the Mariners.

Draw a straight line from third to the pitchers mound to first then up into the stands and I'll be in Section 77.

I'll be the drunk one.

nothing can beat the "friendly confines" as Jack Brickhouse was knonw to say at the start of any televised home game on WGN (pre Harry Carrie days... when he was doing White Sox, I think).

I got to Fenway last year. I really need to do Yankee Stadium before it is torn down.

I'd go if you've got the chance. I can't say it was my favorite park, but I'm glad I got there for a game. I was there for Opening Day a couple of years ago. Besides Fenway, I've been to Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, and the both the old and new Phiily stadiums. and I'm psyched to be going to San Francisco this year. I've already got tickets to a game.

Well yeah but then when you decide you want to catch a game in every park you will have already done it.

I am in for a game if you are buying the tix. I will even meet you at the airport and we can ride the subway together. Better yet, get bleacher seats and we can be bleacher creatures
