I was dashing out the door on Saturday morning to catch a flight to Atlanta when I noticed the dumbass trackball on my device was inoperative.

Quickly I threw a backup BlackBerry into my backpack and got on my way.

I figured the regular one would be fine in a while. The trackball has gone wonky for a few minutes before. Not this time.

It's only the good thinking of putting in the backup that has kept me away from the very tall bridges in Atlanta.

...well that and the fact that there are no tall bridges in Atlanta. :D

New touch pad is much better on the BB. Trackball jamming is quite common.

There is always Stone Mountain, Olympic Cauldron and CNN escalator to jump from.

You could've also jumped from the SB I-85 ramp to SB I-285. I think that's the highest of the 4 or 5 "bridges" that make up the Spaghetti Junction interchange. Just because there are not any tall bridges in the metro Atlanta area doesn't mean that you can't off yourself. You just need to be a little more creative.

However, please let me know in advance if you decide to jump at Spaghetti Junction as that's where I live and I will be wanting to avoid the traffic tie-up you'll be creating.

Man I was on Spag Junction during that violent rain yesterday afternoon and I could have easily taken the "shortcut" down to 285 without seeing it or knowing it...until the sudden stop at the bottom.

Backup Bberry is working like a charm so all is well at the moment.
