I am planning to move back to DCMA in the next couple of months. Any one from the Potomac region to share knowledge on local races and best spots for training?
Thanks!

Not sure this helps but - I spent a semester in DC and couldn't take my bike so I picked up running more seriously and did the Marine Corps Marathon. Definitely do that if you get a chance. Also, I don't know where you'll be living, but any run that involves a loop around Hains Point and past the Awakening statue/artwork can't be beat in my opinion.

Oh, also make it a point of going to Eastern Market every Saturday morning.

Not a whole lot of open water swimming opportunities nearby, but there's always the bay, some further away lakes and lots of pools. I use the W&OD Trail for most of my biking/running, but then I'm out past Dulles.
