Okay, I'll admit it. I've been spoiled with the last 4 days off, and I don't want to go back to the madness that is the office today! Wah!

Hrmph, I agree. Not happy to be back at work after 4 days off. Oh well, gotta work to pay the bills...
 
Hmm, looking at my log, I can see how much I've slacked off the last two months. For a while, I was on pace to shatter my previous record for miles in a year. I was just barely over 1600 each of the last two years. But after the slacking off, I'm now at 1441 for 2011. So I have to do 160 miles between now and the end of the year just to equal that. That's certainly doable. But I certainly won't be "shattering" that previous record. Oh well...

Morning, friends. Easing back into the swing of things by office labor bookended with a chiro appointment and a massage. Unfortunately, I got NOTHING done over the break, so I have a ton to do today.

I quickly read through the threads to see that you all had a good holiday. I was swamped and didn't get a chance to post, but I am most thankful for everyone here. Y'all are good peeps!

I had 17 people for dinner on Thursday and left 13 of them sleeping at my house when we left at 8am Friday morning for a hockey tournament in Rochester. No shopping for this mom on Black Friday - it's hockey all the way! We didn't get back until 10pm last night. I'm beat. But we won! We were the last US team to make the semi's and then whomped on our Canadian opponent in the championship game. It was awesome. The kids are playing really well.
 
Did I mention that I'm beat?

Good morning all! Woke up early and met up with 3 others for a lovely downtown bridges run this morning, it's still super nice weather wise and we were all sporting shorts and short sleeves. 6 sleazy mi later and I was feeling like a million bucks. Got to the office early and am getting caught up from my time away; I totally missed my new office while in STL.

Got in a little over 50 miles last week and it felt ok. Long run yesterday of 11 at a 9mm pace..followed by wonderful pancakes and coffee

My right lower calf has been tight though..blah
 
So, I got an email last Monday that the fitness comp that I am doing is ending a week early (i.e. tonight). blah. So, how does one drop 10 lbs at work during the day w/o removing a limb? discuss

hi there- so after spending the last 4 days with 2 sick kiddos, I think I have strep. My throat is all spotty. UGG! I was hoping to hit my favorite spin class today, but rest may be beckoning instead.Oskar is such a cutie! I was thinking about Lori this morning- has she posted lately?

Hi all - weather turned pretty chilly today here in C-Bus as I headed out for some coffee. But I'm adopting the attitude of the Black Knight - "I've had worse!"

One more flight alone back to the left coast...and then, the whirlwind continues (woohoo!)

Not yet - my old addy is still good for now, though if you decide send a card to us together at Kris' addy, it'll be seen by the both of us eventually. But if you saw Bard's post yesterday, we'll BOTH be having new addresses soon after I get over this way - we're both pretty darn excited about it.

Morning folks. Sleep in day for me. Which was much needed as I slept crappy last night!

Nice work Brandy. I did 2 ten milers in a row and my hammies were SORE last night. Oof. It is amazing how quickly we can lose our fitness. Oh, and losing 10 lbs in a day? Yeah. I am up a few lbs again and returning to good nutritional behavior today. All of the holiday eats and drinks didn't help. So I am heading back to Calorie Count and a regular running schedule again. I hope to be back around 50 mpw this week. 
 
I also found a fun 5K for the family to run this weekend too.
 
Isn't it time for KP's cast to come off soon? Tonya - sorry you are feeling down about lack of fitnessing. Hope that will resolve sooner than later.

I did 11.4 on Tuesday, 10.75 on Thursday and 11 yesterday. My hammies are tight too
 
I am down overall (like maybe 3) for the competition and I think I have lost some inches too but I am not where I need to be to win. I would think overall, a couple of more lbs is all I would want to lose.

ROFL - it was that hint of wind that made it feel chillier. I do live in an area that does get into the low 20s in the winter, but typically it has no wind and of course no snow
