Hey I just got this e-mail from "Back on my Feet" - the Philadelphia based organization that runs with the homeless.

This event sounds pretty fun - anyone interested.

There are three ways to enter.

1. 5-person team - 8.4 miles to 33.4 miles per member.
2. Lone Ranger - solo, you run as much as you can in 24 hours.
3. 8.5 mile midnight run around the Schuykill.

I'd love to see us get a team together for it at the very least.

http://www.20in24.com/main/index.html

I would love to do it!

I love this group! I have run with BOMF when visiting Philly and it's a great cause and organization -- my good friend Amy is very involved. It is very inspiring. I will have to keep this one in mind.

FYI it is July 19-20.

I've been lurking on the site for a little while now and couldn't help but chime in on this one.
Though I'm committed to crew at Badwater as well it will be hard to turn down the opportunity to participate in this event. It would give me a chance to relive my own experience from 2005 when running this same 8.4 mile loop as way to bring attention and support to the Hurricane Katrina victims. I can attest to the fact that running that loop multiple times can be very challenging. However during the daylight hours the support from those who frequent the park is amazing. Anyone who is within close proximity of the area at the time of the event should certainly consider at least running a few laps.

My 2005 Hurricane Katrina 24 hour run

I'm running a 10K in Central DE that morning, but I am 90% sure I could make it up it the evening to run some miles with the team. I must warn you, I am very slow.

I would have loved to, but I'll be in Lake Placid. I think IronHubby might have a small issue with my missing his big race...

Well since a team wasn't looking good I decided to go ahead and register for the Lone Ranger.

Anyone want to crew for me?
