it ws surprisingly good and the veggies tasted really fresh and crisp. I am not a big microwave dinner person, but read some rave reviews from people online, so i figured i would try it out. I am gonna totally stock up <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

thanks for the tip. I'm not one that would normally buy micro meals, but if this is as good as you say, then it's worth a try for those nights I don't have time to make something, or to bring for lunch at work once in awhile.

Tammy, I am not a frozen meal kid either. I like the macaroni and beef a lot and treat myself once in a while. I tried the ravioli just now and OMG!! Really really good. Thanks Meri.

I like that one, too. As much as heating up frozen food doesn't whet my appetite, it's a really convenient, affordable and healthier option for lunch on workdays. Another meatless Lean Cuisine dish I like is the Spinach Mushroom deep dish pizza. The Kashi brand Black Bean Mango entree is also good!

Kashi has come out with another vegetarian entree that involves pesto and pasta, and it is very good and filling.<br><br><a href="http://www.kashi.com/products/kashi_entrees_pesto_pasta_primavera" target="_blank">http://www.kashi.com/products/kashi_...asta_primavera</a><br><br>
It always seems to be sold out at my store recently. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad">

I haven't seen that Kashi one in the stores here. I like the Black Bean Mango and the sweet & sour chicken. But the Kashi whole grain concoction tends to make me gassy so I cannot eat it if I will be around other humans. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"><br><br>
Today I bought a Green Giant frozen veggie side with sugar snap peas, carrots, edamame, and black beans in a "light butter sauce." 180 calories the whole packet. I'll report back when I try it. They seem to have quite a few new veggie sides out.

the Lean Cuisine was $1.69 at Wegman's so, for that price, that is a super bargain! it probably costs me $5 just to make my salad every day! lol

Thanks for the heads up on these frozen entrees. I regularly take a frozen entree to work with me. It's all I can do to make lunches for the kids every day - I manage to make my own about once a week. The rest of the time I microwave something. I will definitely try the butternut squash one and black bean mango one.

I had the best frozen entree yesterday. LC I believe it's the Spa Cuisine line and called something like Sesame chicken stir-fry? It had whole grain noodles, edamame, red and yellow peppers, broccoli, and chicken. 300 calories and 20g protein. It's not meatless but if any of you eat chicken, it was so good I couldn't believe it was frozen food.
