Well as you'll notice from my post count I am in fact a newbie here on Kickrunners. I'm also training for my 6th 1/2 ironman for the April 30th Wildflower race. I just made a review of my latest gear purchase here in the review section: http://www.kickrunners.com/products/nathan-speed-2-waist-pack-with-two-10-ounce-nutrition-flasks-grey-medium. I've actually never trained with any sort of hydration pack and this one more than did the trick.

Given I'm about 3 weeks away from race day, I planned a 50 mile ride and an 11 mile run to make sure I was feeling good and my body was back in shape after not having done a ton of brick work outs. It's been raining a ton in the bay area so given the day looked like this I was feeling pretty good about the day:

Ended up at exactly 50 miles for the bike in 2h55m. I went with a buddy who had yet to bike for they year so I could have picked up another few minutes, but the number of folks out and training was pretty insane. Nothing like Canada Road in the spring. Then after the bike and ran along Edgewood Road for 1h35m. I think based on my estimates this should have been roughly 11 miles. Not sure where other folks try to be 3 weeks before race day, but hopefully the above looks good to all of you! Look forward to providing a few more updates up until race day :)
