Not a bad month for me, ramping up after a lower volume/higher speed oriented summer.

146.7 miles running from 22 runs

63.1 miles cycling from 4 rides

60 minutes elliptical (est. 5.1 miles) from 1 workout

50 minutes soccer (est. 3.3 miles) from 2 matches

9.5 miles walking from 4 walks

80 minutes of weights/core from 3 workouts

2 races, both were club races:

8/3 Bluemont 5k, 19:45, 16th OA, 3rd AG

8/17 Paul Thurston 4.5 miler (trail race), 31:09, 17th OA, 3rd AG

Coming up this month, the Wilson Bridge Half Marathon, 9/19, a benchmark race to assess NYC fitness. A little nervous about it right now, don't think my conditioning is where it needs to be yet.

272 miles.

Highest monthly total in 2 years and just shy of a PR. I still feel out of shape and have less speed than the past two years. Friggin' ankle BS.

Bagged a 10k due to illness so no races other than a bandit pacing job for DW at the Rock'n'Roll HM (1:42.56)

Hawk - quite a collection of workouts there. You going for a cross-training award? ;)

Chances - I don't know who you find the time to run all those miles... you are going to rock Chicago.

kfuller - you just couldn't round that up to 125?

Jill - 3 more miles.... plus, don't spill coffee on the keyboard.

BBS - you got chicked! ;) Nice consistency in your 5ks.

I got 167 running, 12 hours elliptical and about an hour of biking. Total time was about 85% of July which I'm ok with given a lot of hamstring rehab stuff going on. Hoping the first few weeks of September are good before tapering for Chicago.
