OK.

Then I start. A little history.

Goal...well, it's hard to say. When I lost a lot of weight about 8 years ago, I had a goal of 150. But, when I reached it, man, was I thin. People thought I was anoerexic. And, in a way, I looked like it. My illiac crest was visible. My collar bone stuck out. My cephalic vein (or maybe it was my basilic) in my bicep was visible (which is kind of hereditary, some people try really hard to get this to show and they can't). Other veins in my hands, arms, and legs were visible. My calves looked (and were) hard as a rock. I could lay in bed at night and feel gas bubbles (since I at a lot of fiber, and still do) moving through my system (which was kind of cool, actually). I had a resting (sitting actually, never checked laying down) of 52 bpm.

I ran 20-30 miles per week, and lifted weights 2 or 3 times a week. I ran a marathon. 2 halfs, a 10 miler.

Yet, the weight charts had me smack dab in the middle. How can they be so far off? And, also, to address the anoerxic issue, I had set a goal MONTHS prior, and hit the goal, and stayed there for several years. So, it wasn't an issue with anoerexia, IMO. And. besides, I felt great.

So, lets shoot for 160 this time. As an aside, I remember being at 165 and thinking I was overweight (because my clothes didn't fit anymore) and "losing" my fitness, etc. Now, I'd be ecstatic with that. I look back to pictures that were taken back then...plus, running a 10 miler was no big deal then. Now, I can barely run at all.

So....

Current week (what's this number?)
August 8
3-Week delta/weekly average: (? what's this?) Give me some formulas, man
Starting Weight 209.
Goal 160
Weight to Goal 49

By the way, through all of this, I have my weekly weight, and every walk/run/bike ride/race since mid-2003 in a spreadsheet. it's kind sad to look at it.

Current Week is what you weigh right now.

1-week delta is what you lost since last week.

(I had to do the three week thing because it's been three weeks since my last check-in.. and I added an average for the hell of it.. 3 divided by 1 = 1)

You don't have to follow my example. I do it in the way that makes sense to me. You do it your way and we'll figure it out.

I was full of poison (Beer and Margarittas) This morning and the scale said 227# - I call bullshit since I weighed a dehydrated #214 last Saturday ... well at least I am full of something. I am not restarting this little game until after I get back from Leadville - Yes my big fat ass has to schlump 100 miles in the mountains. On the possitive side - I am at peace with myself - I know I need to imrpove, but I am ready to think long term.

Welcome Tech Tee - Maybe TT for short.

Sorry Steve - I have had a host of issues or reasons to not be around

July 3rd - Head Injury - 13 stitches

July 9th - Ran DWD 50k at Devils Lake (WI) anyway - Fell on easy part of the course - Broke Radial Head (Bone as it goes into elbow)

July 21st - 31st - Family Vacation to Yellowstone (Actully got some nice runs in)

August 1-7 - Great week of training - Until I tweaked my Achillies Tendon (Sunday)

So it was a tough July

Now I have a lot of weight to lose / fitness to gain back

Sorry...I've been avoiding this thread since I got fat and stopped weighing myself after Hardrock. I guess denial isn't gonna work. I'll try to get back on the wagon here soon...
