What's the plan?<br><br>
I am available after 6pm on Saturday, or all afternoon/evening after the race Sunday. Dinner either day works for me.<br><br>
I will hit the expo Friday night, but my time limited.<br><br>
And I'm diggin' the warm weather forecast!

Well, after much deliberation, we will be driving up Saturday morning. Yes, that is a 7 hour drive (depending on bathroom stops), and our hotel is .5 miles from the start. I have no objections to leaving here at 5am and getting there at noon. We will be available Saturday afternoon and evening, and then post race, we might be able to do a little something in the early afternoon. But that's about it. This is a whirlwind trip for us.

Saturday night dinner sounds good to me. I am traveling without car, so can someone pick me up from a MARTA station? I am out of my class at 5pm, so I could make it to a station and on my way soon thereafter.

From what I recall, downtown Atlanta is freakishly small and pretty easy to navigate by foot. Am I wrong? Was I distracted by the large groups of homeless people?

Well the downtown downtown area where we were is compact, but there are tons of places to go. I'd have suggested a few places around the Dome, but most of them are closed because of the damage. Atlantic Station is good, but a bit of a walk from Marta. Perhaps Midtown station? We are at the park and could walk to places around there or up to 11th?? Trying to remember what's around there besides Flying Biscuit or Zocalo (at the park).
