I recommend Mulligan's in Decatur, home of the Hamdog, which is described on wikipedia thusly:<br><br>
"The <b>Hamdog</b> is a hot dog wrapped in a beef patty that is deep fried, covered with bacon, chili, cheese, and onions, and served with fries on a hogie bun topped with a fried egg."<br><br>
Those who are watching their waistlines can settle for the Luther, a bacon cheeseburger served on a Krispy Kreme donut.
Mmmmmmmmm.. Krispy Kremes.......<br><br>
I suggest <a href="http://www.murphysvh.com/home.html" target="_blank">Murphy's</a> in the Highlands! <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> Something for everyone!
I've been gone from Atlanta for a little over a year. I've not felt homesick at all, but suddenly a twinge of it hit me.<br><br>
Virginia Highlands is my favorite neighborhood in ATL. I miss sushi at Harry & Son's. I miss cider on tap at Limerick Junction. I miss wandering aimlessly through Highland Hardware. Other Atlanta things I miss - a day of tailgating & baseball at "The Ted", The Varsity or Majestic Cafe in the middle of the night, Phantom of the Opera for the umpteenth time at The Fox, summer concerts at Lakewood, the obligatory once year picnic & laser show at Stone Mountain, the BofA buidling at night, the lunch counter at Macy's downtown (gone long before I was).
