Atlanta cops are not the most intelligent people.

<p>A few years ago the Atlanta Red Dog (drug unit) and a few other cops raided an elderly woman's house and shot her to death while searching for drugs.  The raid was totally bogus and there were no drugs in the woman's house.  After many lies and attempted coverups,  3 officers went to jail and the city paid out a few million to the woman's family.</p>

<p>A little over a year ago the Atlanta Red Dog unit decided to raid a gay bar in Atlanta on the grounds there were drugs and sex going on in the bar.  They had no warrant, nor did they find any sex or drugs in the bar but because they violated the civil rights of patrons in the bar the City of Atlanta is paying out a little over a million dollars to patrons, employees and owners of the bar.</p>

<p>So, now three Atlanta Red Dog cops, two of whom participated in the illicit raid against the gay bar stop a car with two gay guys and proceed to put their hands down one guys pants while doing a body cavity search on the other.  Once again, no probable cause for their actions and possibly at least two may lose their jobs.  Whether any civil action will be taken by the two guys they "searched" remains to be seen.</p>

<p>Someday Atlanta cops will wake up and realize the same laws they are enforcing apply to them also.</p>
