Atlanta Advice

I was thinking of doing a family vacation in late march and initially was going to go to Tucson, but golly it's expensive. I was think Atlanta might be a decent bet--are there places within say an hour of the city that would be nice for some family outdoors activities and perhaps a bike ride or two for dad? Would stone mountain park be a decent bet?

No need to go to Chattanooga for an aquarium -- we have the largest in the world here in Atlanta!

There are plenty of places to stay and lots to do!
It's lovely, if I do say so myself.

Stone Mountain is a great place to run/bike ride. There's a 5 mile loop that isn't really challenging, and a 7 mile loop that has some hills (nothing like what Tithers is trying to get you to do in the GA gaps, but a mildly challenging run) Very pretty.

Late March is a nice time-- not hot, not cold
Wait, does this apply to those already in the Atlanta area, too?
Woohoo, Nate's family's too far away and mine can't be trusted, I'm gonna send my kid to Uncle and Auntie Tithers Hey, my offspring can't be any less tolerable than me, right?
