I got to thinking while flying home from Philly, what about having t-shirts made up that are not event specific, that we could wear in support of one another.

As an example, Im not going to be running the PF Changs Rock and Roll Marathon or HM. But TriGirl and CactusTri will be. It would be nice to have a shirt on that identifies me as a Kickrunner while out supporting fellow Kickrunners.

Maybe something on the front that says Kickrunners Athletic Supporter and on the back ( taking from AC/DC ) Fort Hose about to run, We salute you!

Or something along those lines, any thoughts?

I like the idea, Frankie!

Though, I admit, the words athletic supporter mke me think of jock straps. I can't help it. If it's just me, then I'll wear the shirt with pride anyway!

No, it's not just you. I hear that lady on Grease doing the school's morning announcements saying "if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter!" My mom always cracked up at that line and it was a family joke.

I'm in Frankie - especially if Jill can get the sweet UnderArmour ones again.

In college we realized that the male athletes were provided with jock straps as part of their team uniforms. We were royally pissed b/c we, of course, had to buy our own sports bras and undies. So we put signs up around campus that said, "WOMEN NEED ATHLETIC SUPPORT TOO!" and then our game info so people would come cheer us on.

Okay, I heard back from Rich.

One project the mods are currently working on is getting kickrunners shirts created. They are looking for online stores. I've suggested runningbanana.com, jlracing.com and customink.com. Does anyone know of any other online stores?

Anywho, I'm definitely "in" if we make a non-event specific shirt.

I have say that I didn't particularly like the runningbanana shirts. Kind of weird fabric for me. The UA shirts you got Jill are super soft and comfy! Not clingy at all (Ailarie!) If one of the online places does those shirts that would be great. Maybe that guy in PA will do a phone order? Or something??

Only benefit of runningbanana- they allowed us to each order our shirts on our own. No need for group stuff. Of course, they were twice as much as the UA ones...

Jill when Rich says the whole site name on the shirt did he mean KICKrunners.com or KICKrunners.com your online running community?

I think a shirt with KICKrunners.com Runner Support Crew ( seeing as how the Athletic Supporter slogan wasnt liked a whole lot ) on the front and
Fort Hose about to run, we salute you! on the back might be pretty cool.

As for being a tech shirt or not, I was leaning towards a regular t-shirt. I wouldnt need a tech shirt if I was at a race just there to support fellow KR folks.

Just more things we could kick around
