Hi all -

I'm facing a shoe issue again. I used the Asics 2000/2100 line for years, then when they went from the 2140 to 2150, I developed terrible blisters in my arches. So, I ended up switching to the Saucony Progrid Guide 3, which has served me well, but it didn't feel quite as good as the Asics.

I see Asics now has the 2160...does anyone have it? Any issues with it?

I want to know the same thing. I had the same issue with the 2150s. From what I've read, they've changed some things, but they don't mention the midfoot stiffness they added last year. I'm going on Thursday to buy new shoes because mine are really old, and I'm now having some IT band issues. I'm going to try the 2160s if they have my size, but I'm not sure I'll know for sure if they are better just in the store. I plan to try out some Brooks and maybe some others as well. I had to grab me a pair of 2140s before they sold out last year after I got the 2150s and couldn't wear them. I can wear them now, but not for more than 6 miles.

I forgot I started this. Ha!

I ended up sticking with the Saucony's. I tried on the 2160's and I could feel the arch rubbing too much just on the test run around the LRS. I also tried the Brooks Adrenaline (which I'd used from time to time) and it felt like a block of cement. I think I may give the 2160's a shot on my next pair of shoes - just didn't want to mess around with it during marathon training.

I'll be curious to see what you think!!!

Well, I ended up back in a neutral shoe, so I got the Nimbus. I just think the stiffness of the stability shoe wasn't working for me, and when they increased it, it REALLY didn't work for me. I'm wearing my 2150s as everyday shoes now. Expensive everyday shoes. Sigh.
