This year will be my sixth year running it. Every spring I look forward to ATB. The grim reaper. High five-ing the little guy playing Queen. The big hill at 26km. The flat and fast first 10km.

Anyone else running Around the Bay 30K this March 30th? The race is nearly sold out, so if you're planning to do this one now is probably the time to sign up.

I've lost count of the times I have run the ATB. Probably over a dozen times.

This year I'm working at the race so I won't be running it. Hope the weather gets a whole lot better than it is now.

Have a good race.

Ran ATB last year and had a blast. Really enjoyed, "dishpan alley" (near the start) where kids clanging spoon and pots as they cheered runners along. The rolling hills between 22-25 and the final dip at the 27th left an impression. So did the dip leading into Copps caught me surprise.

Unfortunately, I won't be there but I have no doubt that you'll have a blast.

Good times.

I am "running" it this year, but I may not get back until after dark as I had bronchial pneumonoa in the fall and am still taking it pretty easy.

In the past month I have run a couple of times along North Shore Dr from 20K to the top of Valley Inn hill....It's even uglier when you run it the other way to get back...I was pretty much walking the hills on the return.

This ought to be interesting...this will be my first ATB.
I've trained for a couple in previous years and injuries held me back from actually registering. Injured again, but pulled the plug and signed up. wooohooo

OK, I just finished...22 hours and change.

Not quite, but it certainly was an ordeal. My running buddy had never run more than 21 before and her last long run of 19 was 6 weeks ago after which they thought she had pneumonia.

The last 10K was no fun for her...the really sad thing was that I don't think I would have been much faster anyway. I met a real nice bunch of walkers.

The good news is I was only a few minutes slower than my marathon PR....and I'm surely not sore...or injured.

I crack me up.
