I did my final long run before my 10 mile race next weekend and ~5 miles into the run I started having calf pain (but I was 4 miles from my car) so I ran on the painful calf the last 4 miles and now I think I have a pulled or strained calf. I iced it last night but it hurts to the touch (kind of off to the side) and it hurts when I walk. Any suggestions other than don't run and ice? I really don't want to have to pull out of my race next Sunday <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif">.
