Colder temps? - Sure thing, then I can run better

Snow? - No snow down here

Out of control drivers on slippery roads? - That happens every time it rains down here!

Shorter days? - Just part of life

So I guess I am ready!

Actually the days get LONGER throughout the entire season of winter.

(Just thought I'd pass that on in case you get on "Smarter than a Fifth Grader)

:D :D

I bought a new snowblower. I didn't use my other one once last year so I'm thinking it's an insurance policy guaranteeing no snowstorms. :)

Yes....bring on the SAD!!!!!!!!

Since my cold induced asthma seems to get worse with each year, the SAD does too....I can't wait 'till I'm old and spend the winters in warm places....exercise might not be enough this year to keep the blahs away

Snow tires going on the car this weekend. New snows for the other car went on last week. Boilers been serviced and we have plenty of wood stacked. Will fire up the generator and check out the show blower this weekend also. Maybe hang the Christmas lights also since its supposed to be 60 degrees. Had a Ski Patrol refresher last week. Need to pick up a couple of new snow shovels and find the roof rake.

ETA - Just got an e-mail update from the Mountain as I was typing this.

I looked into it but there's not much opportunity for me to use one. In the mornings, I'm too busy to use it and wouldn't want to use it in the evenings. Work is out of the question.

Bright flourescent light that simulates sunlight stimulation of the optic nerve. You sit in front of it (not staring at it) for 30 minutes or so and it is supposed to help your brain produce melatonin. I think that's a close enough description.

Hey, good to see down35 here!

The winter tires are on, I am ok with the idea of snow and shovelling.

I am not ready for it to be dark when I drive to work and dark when I drive home. That is one part that I cannot stand.

The normal high temperatures for Phoenix this time of year are about 75 degrees and the normal low is around 50 degrees, Kincaid said.

High temperatures should drop back down to normal during the weekend with a high of 75 degrees Saturday and a chance of rain that continues through Sunday, Kincaid said.
