OK - I am pretty sure I found the issue. The issue will effect all 'migrated' accounts, but all new registered (here) accounts will be set to show the smilies...<br><br>
If you can't see smilies ---------------------------------><br><br>
Then, go to your User CP<br><br>
Click on "edit options"<br><br>
scroll to the bottom where it says, "Message Editor Interface" and change the pulldown menu to set to "Enhanced Interface"...<br><br>
Save the settings and you should be good
