I dunno; not always. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt but move slowly until I've had time to observe.<br><br>
Otoh, many years ago, a couple we were friends with; the guy was pretty disrespectful to his wife, didn't really treat her all that well ( our friendship eventually fizzled) also rescued our then four-year-old who wandered off while we were all at a lake.<br><br>
So it's not always black and white.
